My names Kelly and I'm from America. I live in Russia as an expat, and, well, lots of interesting things happen to me. This blog is supposed to be about Pop culture, but really, its me trying to understand what's going on in this world where things our constantly changing and crazy ideas are being let loose. In my mind, the world is Wonderland, and I'm Alice.

Katy Perry

I actually happen to love Katy Perry. I think her music is really good and her style is crazy yet fun. I think its funny that she started her career in music as the singer in a christian rock band, and that now she is this huge crazy artist. I love her style, I love that she constantly has something new and different, and I think its funny that she wears different colored wigs and everything. Her clothes are so bright and colorful and they are something only she could pull off. Her music is the perfect music to listen to on a night with friends, hanging out, or even when your just alone. She is an amazing star, and her husband is hilarious. They are perfect for each-other. She's fun and flirty, and she's not like any other celebrity. She also has her own OPI nail polish line which is pretty cool.

Justin Bieber

I felt like I should talk about him a bit, because he's recently taken over glee and all the magazines. My friend and I came up with a conclusion that we don't hate him, but we definitely don't obsess over him. His music is ok, its kind of fun to dance to with friends, but I wouldn't go to one of his concerts. Also, I think the fact that he has his own movie is pretty cool. But I can't decide on his new haircut. I liked the hair flip thing that he had before, but this makes him look older so I think its good. I also think that he's cute with Selena Gomez. In conclusion, he's not that bad, but I think he's a bit overrated. There are a few things that I don't like about him, but he's ok. But I want to make one thing very clear to everyone.
I am most certainly NOT a Belieber.

Oscars Worst Dressed

Ok, these are my opinion, so anyone that disagrees, I'm sorry. I don't know that much about fashion anyway, so feel free to voice your opinions in comments.

1. Penelope Cruz in L'Wren Scott with Javier Bardem. This dress reminds me of a costume I would find in a Halloween store under the name "Fire Queen".

2. Scarlett Johannsson in Dolce & Gabbana. I don't know what was going through her head, but I'm guessing at that point in time she had a thing for purple lace. Lots of it..

3. Halle Berry in Marchesa. This dress makes me think that she got ready for the Oscars in a perfectly nice dress, but her limousine took a wrong turn and she got stuck in an art closet somewhere, and somehow got all this fluff stuck to her dress while she waited for someone to get her out.

4. Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott. Ok, I give her props for choosing a dress that made her hair pop. But when its a dress that if you shortened the hemline and cut off the sleeves, Hannah Montana would wear, that kind of gives you a hint that you probably shouldn't wear it to the Oscars.

5. Annette Bening in Naeem Khan. This dress wasn't that bad, but her hairdo, and the pearl details just made her look older than she is, and it just didn't flatter her as much as another dress could have.

Oscars Best Dressed

Ok, I know I'm late, and I know everyone else has already done it, but I want to say who I thought were the best dressed at the Oscars. Tomorrow I am going to post who I thought were the worst dressed.

1. Mila Kunis in Elie Saab. I loved this. I loved the color on her and how she paired it with simple hair. I thought it was perfect for her.

2. Natalie Portman in Rodarte. I also loved the color on her and it made her look gorgeous. It was simple and perfect for the mommy-to-be.

3. Anne Hathaway in Valentino Archive. I thought she looked beautiful and even though she's done that sort of dress before, it never gets old on her.

4. Anne Hathaway in Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci. On to her second dress. I give her props for having eight dress changes, and I thought this one was beautiful with the details on the sides.

5. Nicole Kidman in Dior Couture. I thought this looked so good on her, it made her look thin and made her hair pop.

6. Celine Dion in Giorgio Armani Prive. This dress made her look so elegant, and I loved it.

Starbucks

I thought this day would never come. Starbucks is apparently changing their cup design. (dramatic sigh). I will miss the old cups so much. The new ones are supposedly showing that Starbucks thinks "less is more", but if you take Snooki as an example of that, you'll realize that for both Snooki and the cups, its not a good idea. My thought is what are they going to do when they start red cup season??? I mean, that's the only reason I go to Starbucks in the winter in Moscow, for the red cups!! If they got rid of them completely, I wouldn't be able to go there anymore. The red cups make Starbucks a Starbucks In the winter. Without them, they might as well be any other coffee shop. Anyway, like I said, Snooki and Starbucks should both rethink less is more.

Facebook Phone

One word. Wow. That is one of the most insane things I've every heard of. A "facebook phone". What is it? Apparently its manufactured to help facebook obsessed teens access the site easier. And I thought that the ipad was unnecessary. But then again, I am addicted to the ipad. But whatever. This phone sounds stupid. I mean, really? Do we need another reason to waste our time on facebook? Parents already complain enough about it being available to computers and phones, but now, we have a whole new phone that is made just for that purpose. Honestly, why do they even bother coming up with things like that. I wish I could try one for a day, just to see how they work. Apparently it isn't even made by the company facebook. How is it a facebook phone then? Maybe it will turn out to be a huge success, but i like to be able to go on the internet and facebook on my computer and normal phone, not have a phone specially made for that.

http://techcrunch.com/2011/02/09/video-inq-facebook-phone/

This video is a representative from INQ describing and using the phone. After watching the video I admit it looks sort of cool, but I still think its pretty lame.

Perfume stores

I have one word to describe how I feel about them. J'adore. I love them. I have no idea why. I'm going to steal my friends words, but its a "fling". I love walking into a perfume store and smelling all of the different flavors, mixed together in one store. Most people say that the stores give them headaches, but they put me into a happy-coma. I am not a huge fan of the more dated perfumes. They remind me of old clothes and washing detergent. I do like the classics, but I like them because they are classic, and I would probably never wear them. I prefer the ones that smell more, exciting and different. The ones that I have now are DKNY limited edition be delicious perfume, and a box set of mini Dior perfumes. Perfume stores change my whole mood. When I walk into one, everything kind of fades into the background. When I am in one testing out perfumes, I always head straight to the perfumes with the strange bottles. The strange bottle means that maybe, just maybe, I'll find a perfume I like. Anyway, they make me happy, and for now, I am obsessed.

Hollister VS Abercrombie

I thought that I should share my thoughts on this. It seems like everyone is obsessed with this, like there is this big war going on all the time. Personally, Abercrombie's jeans fit me better, and so do their tops, but I have Hollister clothes too. I'm Switzerland in this whole fight. But I have one huge issue with both. Their stores are too dark, reek of perfume, and the music is too loud. The lady trying to help me can barely hear me when I ask her if they have 0-0 jeans in Maggie, or whatever they call their jeans now. And I know this is what every joke says, but I need a flashlight to look for stuff in Hollister. Even though this is all true, the men's cologne does smell good :) But anyway, I don't really have an opinion on which stores clothes are better. What I do have a problem with is when one girls outfit is made completely of Abercrombie or Hollister clothes. For example, her jeans are Aberrcrombie, her shirt is hollister, her sweatshirt/jacket is Abercrombie, her tote is Hollister, and her flip-flops are Abercrombie. That bugs me.
Anyway, last thought on the subject: Head to toe Abercrombie or Hollister- *barf*
A few things from Abercrombie or Hollister- normal

PMS...

Ok, the other day I was reading someone's blog, and they had the perfect picture to describe how i feel at that "time of the month".

I also found a website that is hilarious and its all about that. They made this book called The Princess and The PMS. It gives tips on how a girl can get through her time of the month. There are 5 "princesses" that a girl can be during her period. They're called Lois Pain, everything hurts and everybody knows. Atilla the Hungry, any food will calm you down. Scary Poppins, no one knows what mood your in. Weeping Beauty, everything sets you off into tears. Last, but not least, Lizzie Warden, because your in pain, everyone else will be too. The website is called http://pmscentral.com/ There's a quiz that you can take that tells you which one of these "wonderful" ladies you are. It made me realize some of the things that I don't even think about that I do. Anyway, I just thought it was cool.

FINALLY!

ITS OVER.
And it only took me like 7 days to finish. I'm proud.

Day 31

Day 31 - A picture of yourself
Last one!
Like I said, I'm short, I have blonde hair, brown eyes, and thats about it.

Day 30

Day 30 - A picture of someone you miss

I know I've said it before, but I miss my doggy Henry. I miss him so much. My house is empty without the clack of his paws against the hardwood floor, his loud sneezes, his large sighs when he lied down. Its sad not to have him here, but I know he's in a better place.

Day 29

Day 29 - A picture that can always make you smile
Its a picture of me and my friends standing on a bench at my old school looking stupid. It makes me smile because it was one of the last things that we did together before I moved. It was really fun and I miss them all so much.

Day 28

Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of
I'm sort of afraid of snakes. Like not deathly, but they just are kind of creepy. Like I've held them and I've been fine, but in nature their kind of creepy. I'm not going to put a picture up because their creepy.

Day 27

Day 27 - A picture of yourself and a family member
Well there's a picture of me and my two sisters, right before my oldest sister went to prom, my middle sister went to a middle school party, and I went to my first school dance. We were all dressed up and happy, and it brings me back to those memories.

Day 26

Day 26 - A picture of something that means a lot to you

This is going to sound really cheesy, but the mountains mean a lot to me. I was born in a hospital the Rocky Mountains, and I've spent every summer in our house there. They remind me of when I was little, and they bring me back to those times.

Day 25

Day 25 - A picture of your day

I spend practically all day at school "learning". I like to see my friends, but some of the classes are too long. Thats how I spend my day.

Day 24

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change

I'm not going to put a picture up, because their all too sad.

I wish I could change torture against animals. Its really sad, and I wish it didn't happen. I've watched all of those shows about it, and its horrible.

Day 23

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book

Its called Russian Winter. Its about a ballerina in the Bolshoi theater, and its about her life. Its really interesting, especially since I live in Russia and I have friends in the Bolshoi academy.

Day 22

Day 22 - A picture of something you wish you were better at

Singing.
I mean, I'm in choir, but I am horrible. I can't even sing along to the radio without someone yelling shut up. I wish I were better at it so that I wouldn't be as embarrassed when I sang.

Day 21

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget

I wish I could forget the day that my dad told me that my grandpa died. I don't want to forget my grandpa, but I wish I could forget when my dad had to tell me. I've only seen my dad cry twice. Once when my grandpa died and once when my dog died. It was hard to watch and I don't really want to forget it, but I just wish it wasn't so clear in my mind.

Friday, February 4, 2011

Day 20

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel

I would love to travel to Abu Dhabi. It sounds so cool and exotic. I would want to go just to see the sites and so that I could say that I have been there. I've never been anywhere like that except Egypt and Turkey, so it would be cool to go there.

Day 19

Day 19 - A picture and a letter

I don't really get what this means. So I think it means a picture of something and a letter. So whatever. I chose teacups because I like teacups, and the letter K looked cool.

Day 18

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity

Being short. I mean, I've excepted it and I would rather be short than HUGE but Its my biggest insecurity.

Day 17

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

The Moscow Domodedovo bombings hit close to home because I live in Moscow. I also had a friend on his way to the airport when the bombings happened so it really scared me. They had also happened last year at the metro station that was 3 stations away from the one near my apartment. I'm sorry to all of the people whose family members were affected by these bombings.

Day 16

Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you

Jane Goodall was so amazing with what she did. She changed the world with her discoveries and has been trying to help chimpanzees. She does such amazing things. She inspires me.

Day 15

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die

It looks really scary, but I want to do it. My sister did something that was the opposite of bungee jumping where it shoots you into the air. I just want to do it because I want to say I have.

Day 14

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without
My family. My friends. Cher, Nina, Lovisa, Izzy, Celina, Katya, Maria, Moa, Mari, Masha. If I'm forgetting anyone, sorry. They make me happy and always keep me going. They lift me up and dust me off. I love them for that.

Day 13

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist

I don't really have a favorite. I mean I like Katy Perry, just because she's different and kind of crazy. I don't really have favorites. But Katy Perry's cool.

Day 12

Day 12 - A picture of something you love

My dog. Henry. He died on Wednesday, and I miss him so much. I still love him, and he will always be in my heart.

Day 11

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate
Brussels Sprouts. I HATE them. they taste like feet mixed with puke. My mom made me try them when I was 9. They look like mini cabbages and taste even worse. Thats all I have to say about them.

Day 10

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most ****** up things with
I can't really pick one, but I'll pick two. The first would be one of my best friends Nina. We've had the best times. At our first sleep-over ever, we pigged out on Japanese food, made a video that was AMAZING (don't mean to brag), and we stayed up like all night. We never have boring sleep-overs, we always have something to do, eat or obsess over. The second person would be. She is hilarious. At my first sleep-over with her, we snuck out, ran around her neighborhood with no shoes on, stayed up all night, ate pancakes and watched horror movies. At our second sleep-over with another girl, we bought candy and soda at the store, went sledding, made whipped cream, watched a creepy movie, and it was only after that did we realize that Anna and Sophie couldn't rem Sophie ember anything after making the whipped cream. So then we started a new movie, talked about very creepy things, and stayed up until like 4. It doesn't sound that messed up, but it was one of those, you had to be there moments.

Day 09

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most
The person who has gotten me through the most is probably one of my best friends Katya. She has talked with me about everything. Guys, clothes, homework, issues, everything. Nothing is too awkward to talk to her about. She accepts everything about me and helps me out all the time. She's good at being brutally honest and blunt, but sometimes I need that. I love her for that.

Day 08

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh
I'm not going to post the picture because its my friends and I. Its a picture of me and my friends at my old school and we're on the playground. My friend Jasmine is giving my friend Cher a piggyback, my friend Celina is giving me a piggyback and my friend Izzy is giving my friend Nina a piggyback. Its funny because it reminds how many good times we had, and how many good times we still have. It makes me laugh every time I see it.

Day 07

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

My most treasured item is probably the mother of pearl carved chinese poker chip that my grandpa gave me. Mother of pearl is rare, and the chinese used to carve these chips and trade them. It has a gold rim, and is normally attached to a black thick string. It has a carving of two people working in the rice fields. Its special to me because my grandpa trusted me with such a precious item, and it shows that he believed in me. I know its hard to see, but if you zoom in I think you can see the carving.

Day 06

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day
I would love to trade places with one of my best friends Katya. She is perfect. Literally. She has a blog that I love, she is amazing at fashion, she makes amazing clothes, she's making me a cream colored ruffle skirt with a black waistband :). She is one of the fastest swimmer in our school (and she's only in eighth grade!) She is pretty, she's smart, she's funny. She has a hilarious dad, her mom is one of the best cooks ever, and Katya is neat and organized with everything, in a good way. I want her life!

Day 05

So, like I said, I'm going to post almost all of them today, tomorrow and sunday.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.
I would rather explain it than show a picture because I don't think I have one. It is probably the day I met my best friend Cher. I mean, thats the one that pops into my mind first. Like I said before, my friend was trying to open a water bottle and neither of us could open it. Cher walked up to us, asked if she could try, and opened it. Instantly I was like ok, your my best friend. Its one if my favorite memories because it reminds me of 3rd grade, when it took as little as opening a water bottle to make a friend that you will have for life.

I'll post all of them in separate posts.

Thursday, February 3, 2011

Day 04

My thoughts are still on Henry, but I thought I should keep everything normal instead of making my blog sad.

Day 04 - A picture of your night
Well, I don't really get it but, oh well!

Its sunset at a beach with a bunch of friends. I don't know if that counts as "night" but whatever.

My other option would be:

Its movie night! Every Friday night in this one neighborhood, there's a movie night with like all of the kids in my grade. I don't live in that neighborhood, so I've only been to half of one because half way through the movie we realized what time it was. We had to sprint back to her house to meet her curfew. It was fun, but I wish I could go to more.

RIP

I am sorry to say that my posts for the next couple of days will be a bit sad. My dog passed away this morning, only about an hour after I left for school. He was a golden retriever and they think he died of a heart attack. He was the best dog ever. I still remember the day my parents brought him home. My two sisters and I were in the kitchen, when a little puppy with a green and red ribbon tied around his neck ran in from the garage. I automatically pounced on it, being a three year old that was obsessed with fluffy things. My oldest sister Laura was yelling out the typical "Can we keep him?!!?" And my middle sister was in a corner yelling "we're really going to keep that thing in our house? Is he really ours?" With a disgusted look on her face. I kept picking him up, but then he would wriggle out of my arms and run around. My oldest sister kept trying to get him to drink milk and water, while failingly trying to get him to sit, stay and lie down. My middle sister, still in the corner with that same look in her face, kept forgetting his name and yelling "What's his name again?" Every day after school, I would lock the two of us in the laundry room, and teach him tricks. It is because of me that he knows how to sit, stay, lie down, roll over, and the always annoying, paw. He was always happy to see you, and never got aggressive towards anyone. I still remember him running away when a little Yorkie in a park barked at him. But he also protected us. Someone so much as touched our front lawn and he would start barking. But little did that person know that if they opened our front door, the most he could would be distract them by licking them. He was the best dog ever. Last night, before I went to bed I told him that I wanted to see his bright eyes the next morning. He kept his promise. I will always love you Henry. No other dog will replace you. Even as our thoughts drift from you, you will always be in our hearts.

RIP Henry "Handsome" Hillgren. (Also known as Henny, Handsome boy, and Puppy.) October 8 2000-February 2 2011.

Day 03 w

Ok, I decided I cant keep this up for 30 days. Once the weekend comes, I'm going to post them all in 2 days. Then I can get to the fun stuff.

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show
I hate to be cheesy, but I'm going to have to say Glee. I have no idea why. Everyone says that its another High School Musical, but I think the exact opposite. In High School Musical, everyone was popular and happy. In Glee, the people in Glee club aren't popular. Its about getting through day to day life in high school. I mean, no school can set up and demolish a set for a song that fast, but most of it is pretty realistic as to what real school life is like. I know I'm not in high school, but even middle school is like that.

Monday, January 31, 2011

Day 2

Ok, so I decided that my theme is Pop Culture. Basically everything that everyone is obsessing over right now. This includes fashion, music etc. But, I will still ad my crazy ideas and comments.

Anyway:
Day 2- A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

The person I have been l closest with the longest is my best friend Cher. Even though I moved away a year ago, we're still really close and we have so much fun together. We've been best friends ever since her first day of third grade. My other friend and I couldn't get a water bottle open, so she asked if she could help. We've been best friends ever since. I love the fact that we don't have to hide how we feel around each other. If we feel lazy, we'll sit around the house all day. If we need sugar, we'll raid her fridge and make something totally disgusting yet delicious. No matter what, we always have fun together.

Sunday, January 30, 2011

Ok, I decided its probably not best to put pictures of me and my friends up on the internet, so I'll just describe everything instead.

Day 1- A picture of you and ten facts about yourself.

Ok, well I have medium-long dark blond hair, brown eyes, somewhat pale skin and I'm petite.

Fact 1- I am obsessed with wellies (rainboots) I have no idea why. I just love them

Light Pink Hunter wellies

Fact 2- I've always wanted that small-town life. Growing up overseas makes you miss out on a lot of the regular things normal teenagers get to do, like go to homecoming, Friday night football games, Being able to walk to all of your friends houses, etc.

New Canaan, Connecticut.

Fact 3- I desperately want to learn swedish. No idea why, but the way it sounds when someone says klubba, or Jag älskar dig makes me happy.

Fact 4- I love york peppermint patties. The mint and the chocolate mixed together makes HEAVEN for me.

YUM

Fact 5- I think in french. I mean I take french in school, but I think in french. Its really weird.

C'est très bizarre.

Fact 6- My dream hair would be auburn colored, long, and wavy. I mean, it wouldn't look good on me, but I love the color.

The beautiful Julia Roberts.

Fact 7- I love all of the seasons. I can't pick. In autumn, I love the crisp wind and the changing colors. In winter, I love the snowflakes. In spring, I LOVE the rain. In summer, the sun and the long days.

Fact 8- I'm bad at math. I pay attention and try really hard, but I'm just not good with numbers.

Fact 9- I love fashion, but I'm not good at it.

Versace Resort 2011

Fact 10- Jeans and t-shirts are my go-to lazy day outfit.

New Name... Again

Ok, I finally have some time do do this. I've been stressed over exams these past two weeks and it sucks. Ok, I know this is going to sound like the billionth time, but I'm changing the blog name. I can't commit. I'm afraid that this is what is going to happen with my kids. I'm going to name her for example, Molly, but then I'll want to change it to Jenny but then Carissa or whatever. Anyway, Its going to be called mylifeinasnowflake.blogger.com. I thought it was kind of clever, because, well I live in Russia. Anyway, I'll blog more later.

AHHH

Hey, sorry I haven't been blogging lately. AHEM Katie. anyway, I've had exams this week so I've been stressing over the 2 essays I have to write in 90 minutes or all of the formula's and chemical compounds I have to memorize. But anyway, my last and probably hardest exam is tomorrow, so that's cool. And, on Saturday I'm going skiing with one of my friends, so that should be really cool. Anyway, I'll write more next week. Now I should probably start studying...

Last Few Days... :(

So, I only have a couple of days left in America :( The worst part about being here for so long is leaving... It sucks. Right before we leave we take a last minute trip to wal-mart/city market/target to get all of the necessities, I mean we can get most things in Russia, but we like to get it all here. My list is normally:

1. Girl stuff
2. Hair ties/bobby pins/hair products
3. American food
4. Clothes
5. Other random school stuff

Its all pretty basic. Anyway, I also have to finish an essay for science. I mean seriously, an essay over break? I get that their trying to make us use our brains at all times, but break is break! ITS SACRED! As if I don't have enough on my mind, my house has been invaded by college girls. Lucky me... Well I should probably finish that essay...
Oh, and if your reading, please comment. I kind of feel like I'm talking to the air...

Holidays!!!

Can I say something a little out of context???
4 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! Sorry, just thought i should throw that out there. Anyway, I had a day at ski school today. of course it was cold, long and tiring as it is every year, but, I did go up a level. Not that it matters. Ok, like I said before, Christmas is soon. And I need to buy one more gift. I'm dreading it. No matter what I buy someone I always feel like they are going to hate it. 3 out of 5 times they do. But, I am happy with the other presents I bought, because they are actually decent. My next post probably won't be until after Christmas, so just in case I miss it:
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!

Saturday, November 20, 2010

AAAH! I figured it out!! I am about to change the blog URL to my life in a seashell. And then, once I come up with a new name, I'll change it again. Ah this is so exciting.
Ok,
This blog is really starting to irritate me. I have no idea why... I think its because I don't like the name or the fact that the URL is still the same. My cousin has a blog that is called Classically B (I don't think its a blogger blog). The name is so simple and normal. I wish I could come up with something like that. I was thinking Completely Kelly. But then I realized it sounds way too much like her blog. So I am sitting here thinking of how I can come up with a cool yet normal blog name. No luck yet. There is one thing I am super excited about on this blog. I added this gadget called Feedjit, which is something you can use to see what people have read my blog (not their name though) what time, and what city they were in when they read it. So I just saw that a couple of hours ago, a person in New York read it. I have no idea who that is, but HI PERSON IN NEW YORK! ok, I get way to excited about these things. Anyway, I need to change my blog. Any Ideas?

Vacations

Ciao!
So you have probably noticed by now that I changed my blog a little bit. I changed the name, and I changed the background. I am also trying to figure out how to change the URL address, but I haven't figured out how to yet. Anyway, October break is this week and I am going to Italy. I'm going to Rome, Florence, Milan, and maybe Siena but I'm not sure. I also have the beginning of a cold. Yipee. hopefully it won't be too bad in Italy. Well I should probably go pack considering the fact that its 3:15 pm and I haven't even started yet.

Friday Afternoons

Ah, Friday. To normal people it is a day that signifies the beginning of the weekend. During the last class of the day, everyone is so hyper, that the teachers barely even bother teaching. So like I said, once the bell rings on Friday afternoon, everyone starts discussing their plans to hang out, go shopping and watch a bunch if movies. To people like me and my friend Katya, it signifies the beginning of another 2 and a half hour cross country session. Yes, we are runners, and yes we do it out of choice. Most people are like "running is so boring", but our reply to them is "soccer is boring". The other day, we were talking and we realized that the reason we love cross country is because we hate it... We love the fact that we hate it. Yeah, we may moan and groan and gag and wheeze and sometimes even collapse after a tough run, but its all worth it when you cross that finish line with everyone cheering for you... We also do it so we can travel to new countries that have awesome food.
So you may think that after cross country we would go home and hang out with friends right? Wrong. We go home and sit on our butts, eating junk food and watching movies all night. The worst part about it? We do it alone. Then we wake up the next morning and go running again! And so the cycle goes on for the rest of the season...
